Biography 

​Drawn to storytelling, Lexis Beesley illustrates cozy environments depicting exchanges between plants, creatures, and figures. Lexis was born in 2003 in Quinter, Kansas. Her childhood was split between a home in Dighton, Kansas, and a small family farm in Gove County, Kansas. Growing up, she loved spending time in her grandma’s garden and painting in the living room with her mom. Lexis is pursuing a BFA in Studio Art at Fort Hays State University and has exhibited her work in a handful of group exhibitions in Hays. Her work typically combines traditional painting and drawing mediums with digital art to emphasize vibrant colors and textures. Lexis is inspired by graphic novels, animated TV shows, and children’s books. She often plays with scale in her work to capture a sense of adventure or comfort usually felt in childhood. Her illustrations are often created with younger viewers in mind, but she loves that anyone of any age can connect with her work.
